Idle No More . . . An Ongoing Social Justice Movement

This round dance flash mob took place at YorkU. It commenced inside Vari Hall and smoothly flowed outside where the round dance continued in solidarity with Idle No More and Chief Therese Spence. Learn more about Idle No More at http://glcarissa.tumblr.com

A Video . . . Walk for Excellence

I proudly followed a group of C.W. Jefferies 'graduating' students as they marched from their school to York University, in celebration of successfully completing high school (in support of further education). An ongoing fight of the negative image always shown in the media regarding the school; the Jane/Finch community; and neighbourhood youth.
